Wesley was born in Dallas, Texas, because he wanted to be near his mother. When he was in high school, he knew he wanted a career in the entertainment field, so he started working at a local radio station as a d.j.

He went on to college at SMU in Dallas and got his BFA in Broadcast-Film, which led to a career in production in the Dallas commercial-industrial market. He worked nearly every job on a film crew, gaining experience and perspective that led him to make his own short film.

In planning his film, he took two years off to teach 16 mm motion picture production at Skyline Career Development Center for the Dallas Independent School District. Those two years and income financed an award-winning short film, "Dusseldorf, The Big One" which he co-wrote, produced, and directed. With the film, he applied for and won acceptance as a Directing Fellow at The American Film Institute.

After directing some plays locally, he tried his hand at acting in a few, caught the "bug," and now dedicates his talents to that side of the camera.

He brings to his work an understanding of the difficulties of the production process, true respect for the team effort required to make a film or T.V. show, and an appreciation and passion for the art of acting.
